Introducing SoRite® DECON, a powerful, patented decontaminant that oxidizes organic compounds, specifically narcotics like fentanyl, xylazine and heroin. The formula is composed of a potent oxidizing agent, Sodium Chlorite, and a proprietary blend of other ingredients that work together at the molecular level to effectively oxidize these dangerous drugs. Unlike other decontaminants, SoRite® DECON uses a low concentration of Sodium Chlorite to achieve the lowest toxicity category making it safe as well as effective. Tested at a 3rd party Federal Drug Administration (FDA) & Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) laboratory, SoRite® DECON can oxidize fentanyl in just 60 seconds! Will SoRite DECON corrode my PPE or sensitive equipment?
No. SoRite DECON neutral pH, non-toxic by-products, and non-flammability allow for decontamination of most threats on personal protective equipment (PPE), sensitive equipment, and critical infrastructure.
What is pH of SoRite DECON?
9.2 at pH scale
What if I accidentally get DECON on my skin?
SoRite DECON scored a category 4 (same as water) on toxicology for skin irritation. Simply rinse or wipe your skin and you shouldn’t have any reaction. But remember, gloves should be part of your PPE when drugs are suspected.
What do I do with the by-product after I spray SoRite DECON on fentanyl or opioid?
Treat by-product like hazardous or medical waste.
How do I dispose SoRite DECON after the one year shelf life?
You can dispose by pouring it down the drain. SoRite DECON is safe and non-toxic!
What PPE do I need to use with SoRite DECON?
OSHA requires you to use eye protection when spraying liquids in the air. SoRite DECON scored a category 3 for eye irritation. It is equivalent to opening your eyes in the ocean. A slight irritation.
Use appropriate PPE when handling opioids or when suspicious of opioids being present. Gloves and eyewear at a minimum.
Will SoRite DECON deteriorate the vinyl in my police vehicle? Can I spray the seats and dashboards with SRD?
Yes! SoRite DECON has no chlorine or alcohol in its formula. After material compatibility tests performed using SoRite DECON, it is safe on HDPE, Vinyl, Stainless Steel 316, Stainless Steel 304, PVC, Rubber, Chrome, Quartz and Fiberglass. Please let us know if you would like additional information.
Is there a strong odor with SoRite DECON?
Not at all! There is no fragrance and no odor when using SoRite DECON. SoRite DECON can be used to kill odor causing bacteria at its source! It is an incredible Heavy Duty Odor Eliminator!
How do I apply SoRite DECON?
Always use as directed on the back of the packaging. You can use SoRite DECON to spray or you can also submerge narcotics in the liquid. SoRite DECON is available in a Bag-on-Valve spray can, wipes/towelettes. Make sure to saturate the area THOROUGHLY! The wetter the better! *Do not use ESS technology for application.
Will SoRite DECON discolor my gear?
No! SoRite DECON has no chlorine and no alcohol. It will not corrode or discolor.
Is fentanyl identifiable after SoRite DECON has been applied for use in a court of law?
*If needed, 1H NMR or LC/MS analysis can be used to identify the remnants of fentanyl, or the illicit compound being oxidized, after the treatment of SoRite DECON, however, to ensure Law Enforcement the best possible case in a court of law, the below is recommended:
- Any environment where fentanyl, heroin or other illicit drug(s) are suspected to be present, the officer/responder should first remove a small sample for evidence that the substance was present
- Spray the affected area with sufficient SoRite DECON such that the suspected substance is completely immersed and solubilized
- Wait 60 seconds for SoRite DECON to destroy the compound – then wipe up the liquids and dispose of it properly
How much SoRite DECON is needed to oxidize fentanyl and opioids?
Sufficient SoRite DECON should be used until the compound is dissolved and disappears.
How is SoRite DECON tested?
SoRite DECON is tested at a registered 3rd party Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) laboratory. All results are completed by H1NMR analysis.
Can I use SoRite DECON in a Electrostactic Spraying System (ESS)?
No, not approved in a ESS system.
